Welcome to the evolution
Well I have been asked by n people until now about soni ericsson K750i and hence I am posting it here… well apporva now u must be happy to read this post rather my last one?? what say??… I am using this model from last 3 months now… and I suppose this would be the right time to give an review … I have bought it from Singapore for (680 Singaporian $) approx 19k with receipt… at that time in India it was 28k with receipt and it was also recently launched… I am not myself in support of buying costly mobiles probably due to my careless nature … but if one wants good tech one has to spend…
oka so here goes the review: -
- Size: - Firstly, the size of the handset is just right, small and light enough to fit in your pocket without noticing it, yet easy to hold and use. Where as in the case of nokia N series its like carrying stone in your pocket
- Screen: -The screen is fantastic, large (176 x 220) and bright with 262,000 colours TFT display, you can clearly see what's displayed even in sunlight.
- Camera: - I am not too fussy for a camera quality in a mobile but this one’s actually best in the market. This phone has a split personality; it secretly wants to be camera but is trapped in a phones body! Because when you flip the cover on its back it ceases to be a phone and becomes a fully fledged 2 mega pixel camera - how cool is that? With 2 mega pixel camera , auto focus, 4x digital zoom, a macro mode, night mode, flash light, self-timer, white balance, time stamping, choice of normal or fine picture quality, effects like negative, sepia which is actually awesome, solarize. No beat for its camera… It also has a video recording of 1 hour… One can create multiple photo albums…and also led flash is simply awesome…
- Mp3: I actually went for this for its mp3 quality … Its mp3 quality is comparable to Ipod …with extendable memory till 2 GB imagine how many playlists one can make that too in a mobile … has lots of sound effects treble, bass, equalizer etc.
- Memory: - The phone comes with 38 MB shared memory and a 64MB Memory Stick Duo card ... memory stick can be extended to 2GB…only thing is sony memory stick is bit costly compared to other brands…
- Networks: - GSM Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz and has triband…
- Data Transfer: - can be done through Bluetooth, Infrared port, USB and GPRS (32 - 48 kbps)… for Bluetooth I have bought a billionton bluetooth device to connect to my comp …its cheap in range of 500 – 800 … gives me 40kb/sec speed… Here comes a negative point also…this mobile doesn’t support Wlan and 3G…although it’s not a big issue but if you r spending u don’t want to miss anything right??
- Bluetooth - well I was about to say on that! Bluetooth has to be one of the best inventions for mobile phones in recent times, by definition mobiles should be mobile, and they shouldn't have to rely on wires. Manufactures, for some unknown reason, have been reluctant to put it in but in this case Sony have and what a relief. I bought Sony’s own Bluetooth hands free for (138 Singaporian $) approx 4ooo that pops on your ear to use specially with this phone. And it’s brilliant. It's even clearer than using the phone it's self because the sound is planted directly in your ear.
- I haven’t explored my mobile much due to time constraints and also I get bugged up … but if u actually want to do some kidas then this one has a music, video and photo DJ’s…a remote control application for media player and presenter… You can also connect your phone to a photo printer to take printouts…well what I meant to say is there’s lot in the piece but only if one has time to devote….
Well theres lot of comparision between nokia’s and sony’s …well I must say nokia makes mobiles for masses but if u want quality go for high range sony ericcson’s …no beat for that… well it takes time to transit oneself from nokia to sony… but after 2 -3 days one gets used to and u land up in the world of tech rather than just using the phone to talk… I don't normally consider Sony to make best electronics in a particular sector rather they are great all-rounder but here I would suggest they have created one of the best phones in the market.
Well so all in all great mobile with a big claim … “If you want all those things that this phone provides and have time to use them all efficiently”, then this is an excellent phone and it rocks.

hey rupreet, i agree with what u have said.. but what about the compatibility?? i doubt u can send a pic image and even the video or audio (via infra or bluetooth) to nokia cells (everyone is having)... i also feel that sony phones are very delicate (even ur cell) comapred to nokia phones... what we reqiure is a cell which we can handle without any care...
but quality wise i agree that sony is not comparable... but i feel they have to give some thought over to make the cell more stronger..
Well I guess u have to check the definition of Bluetooth ...boss Bluetooth is a short-range radio technology. Bluetooth wireless technology provides a universal bridge to existing data networks, a peripheral interface, and a mechanism to form small private ad hoc groupings of connected devices away from fixed network infrastructures. Hence if any mobile or I would say any electronic is Bluetooth enabled they can talk irrespective of the manufacturer. Hence nokia, soni erric or any other piece can talk if they have Bluetooth...I hope this solves your query.. next I had already said if u want good tech u have to spend ...and if u r spending u will obviously take care...otherwise go for 3310...nokia makes for masses hence they have to keep those models cheaper. It doesn’t provide you tech...unless u go for higher end pieces...

This mobile of Rupreet has been useful to me in one way. On a Saturday, once, when I had to goto office in SEEPZ, I went by my car and also took along Rupreet with me. At the end of the journey, Rupreet told me that he actually recorded my driving. I am yet to receive the video from him. The trip was good but Rupreet made me wait for one hour after I was finished as some shitty training of his was going on. Saale Rupreet , woh video atleast yeh weekend pe dede yaar so that I can analyse my driving and improve accordingly. hehehehe....

Nice post dude.....but i am thinking of having an ipod video with simple camera phone , IPOD costs US$ 299 from US .....so let me know if some one u know can bring from US.....IPOD has 30GB it rocks dude!!!!!!!!

Well actually i was planning to get a good n hi fi cell for myself... as many were asking me to dump my old slick cell :D ... but then over the weekend i was doing keeda with Adarsh on his bike... n in dat act.. he actually dropped his cell... n then i took two steps backward for buyin a new hi fi cell... n I was contended with my existing piece... n as such i got a ipod.. so no issues in regards of music for my ears :D
Well u know even i was thinkin about goin to GOA for new year... ;-) n after reading others comments... i guess i have almost decided to hit the shores of GOA again... man me really tempted :D

A woman at a Gas nightclub (Mumbai) on Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her at Bandstand Mumbai. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes along with traces of rohypnol in her blood. Rohypnol, date rape drug is an essentially a small sterilization pill. The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. All they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before. Rohypnol, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later. The Drug's affects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - they are PERMANENT. Any female that takes it WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE. The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school
or any university. It's that easy, and Rohypnol is about to break out big on campuses everywhere. Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people how to use it. Please forward this to everyone you know, especially girls. Girls, be careful when you're out and don't leave your drink unattended. (added - Buy your own drinks, ensure bottles or cans received are unopened or sealed; don't even taste someone else's drink) There was already been a report in Singapore of girls drink been spike by Rohypnol. Please make the effort to forward this to everyone you know...for guys Pls inform all your female friends and relatives....remember you also have daughters and sisters.
